Heather Bond, the visionary founder of Trekking Ambassadors, launched T.A. in 2020 with a mission to blend adventure with giving back. Heather’s background and passion have been the driving force behind Trekking Ambassadors. With a deep love for adventure and a strong commitment to giving back, she saw an opportunity to merge travel with meaningful impact. Her experiences trekking across the world has exposed her to communities in need, inspiring her to take action.
Through her dedication, Trekking Ambassadors was born—an initiative that not only brings people on unforgettable journeys but also empowers local communities. Whether it’s setting up computer rooms in Tanzania, providing medical supplies in Nepal, or supporting schools in Peru, Heather’s vision ensures that every trip leaves a lasting impact. Her unwavering spirit continues to inspire others to travel with purpose, making the world a little better with every step.

Trekking Ambassadors' mission is about blending adventure with purpose. It’s not just about exploring the world—it’s about giving back to the communities we visit. Through education, technology, and healthcare initiatives, we support schools, clinics, and local projects in remote areas. Whether it’s setting up computer rooms in Tanzania, delivering medical supplies in Nepal, or providing resources to schools in Peru, our goal is to create lasting, positive change. By combining travel with service, we foster meaningful cultural connections and empower both travelers and local communities. Trekking Ambassadors is dedicated to making a difference across the globe. In Tanzania, we’ve partnered with two secondary schools, providing essential resources and support to enhance education and opportunities for students with our solar reading lights. In Nepal, our efforts extended to four clinics, three schools, and a hospital, where we delivered much-needed eyeglasses, educational materials, and healthcare support. In Peru, our contributions included setting up a school with educational materials, ensuring students have the tools they need to succeed. Through these initiatives, we aim to empower communities, foster education, and promote a brighter future for all. Together, we’re transforming lives and building stronger, more resilient communities."

In the past, we worked with two schools, the Uomboni and Makomu secondary school, to bring solar reading lights to students, offering them the opportunity to study even after the sun set. These lights were more than just tools—they were symbols of hope, of opportunity, and of a future where education knows no bounds. Thanks to your support, these lights continue to light the way for countless students, giving them the resources they need to succeed.
Today, we are excited to share that we’re taking our partnership even further. Trekking Ambassadors is launching a new campaign to raise $8,000 to build computer rooms at three schools in Tanzania, including the two we’ve previously worked with. These computer rooms will provide the students with access to essential technology, giving them the skills they need to thrive in an increasingly digital world.
