Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at hbondnow@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

At Bond-Voyage Adventures, we believe in the power of word-of-mouth. This means we can offer you incredible adventures, whether you're looking for a luxurious safari or a budget-friendly getaway, without the hefty price tag of BIG PRINT marketing. We also pride ourselves on our close relationships with our in-county travel experts, all of which we consider family. Our clients come back knowing they have not only nourished their souls but also the local economy, and they spread the word, allowing us to keep our costs down and the quality of our experiences high.

While we are not a booking travel agency, we do offer, at a cost, an option to book your air travel upon requests.

At Bond-Voyage Adventures, we understand that every traveler has unique preferences. That's why we offer a diverse range of accommodations tailored to each destination. Whether you're seeking a luxurious stay or sleeping in a small tent in the Serengeti we offer both budget-friendly and luxury. Our accommodations reflect the charm and culture of each country, ensuring a comfortable and memorable experience.

At Bond-Voyage Adventures our main focus on outdoor activities evolves mostly around hiking/trekking. Whether you are wanting to hike and climb to the roof-top of Africa on Mount Kilimanjaro or trek up through the Himalayas on a high pass journey or Everest base camp adventure we've got you covered. Looking to hike through Peru on your way to Machu Pichu or the Salkantay, we'll ensure you have a magical experience. Of coarse safaris are outdoors and we specialize in them in Tanzania.

Most all the Bond-Voyage Adventures has a hiking component to it. So we advice that you start training according to what you will be taking part of. Treks and hikes can range anywhere from 3 to 12 miles daily. However, most of our treks are at higher altitudes and higher elevation gains, so we suggest start walking and hiking hills with a weighted pack or vest. Remember, 3 miles on a mountain can take hours so lets think 4 to 10 hours on trails. Also, do know that while on safari you may be in our wonderful safari jeeps, the roads are dirt tracks, which means, bumpy and dusty. you need to be aware if you have any major back or neck injuries. If you have concerns please get a general physical exam done to access your overall health and fitness levels. On the trails we monitor your vitals and oxygen.

Some of the items that are not included on our trips are international airfare, visas for certain countries, lodging or meals prior or after designated dates of adventure, travel insurance, room service, excess baggage fees, alcoholic drinks unless specified, and tipping of your guides.

We hope to educate you on the importance of the tipping process. While many travelers haven't quite got the memo on the importance of tipping our guides, porters, hosts, and cooks, lets set you up for success. All of these individuals that are hosting, hauling and cooking for you do it for very minimal wages, so they appreciate and rely on tips from the clients to purchase supplies for their families when the rainy season and winters hit.  A average lower tipping scale for instance on a 7 day Kilimanjaro trek would be something like this. Lead guide, $20/ day =$140 total , assistant guide $15/day =$115, cooks $15/day = $105, and porters $8/day = $56. Now this is on the lower end, but if you're with a group this can be split. Otherwise do what you can, it's beyond appreciated!

We are so thrilled to be apart of something greater and bigger than ourselves. Trekking Ambassadors has been working in the various regions throughout Tanzania, Nepal and Peru to give back to the world we explore. We are grateful to be able to help the local economy. Whether it's setting up solar reading light libraries, bringing in much needed school and medical supplies to remote villages we are here to listen to what is needed and then do our best to help fill the gaps. Bond-Voyage Adventures is committed to giving 25% of profits from our travel and 100% from our merchandise to Trekking Ambassadors missions. You can be a part of change.
