our founder
Heather Bond, the visionary founder of Trekking Ambassadors, and Bond-Voyage Adventures launched T.A. in 2020 with a mission to blend adventure with giving back. Heather’s background and passion have been the driving force behind Trekking Ambassadors. She is a dedicated community leader, adventurer, and advocate for giving back. With over 12 years as a co-host on Santa Barbara Teen Sports Radio, a coach and mentorship role at Girls Inc. of Greater Santa Barbara, and service on the Santa Barbara Waldorf School board, she has continually worked to uplift and empower others. Heathers volunteer work as a strength and conditioning coach at local high schools further reflects her commitment to mentorship and well-being.
Holding degrees in Fire Chemistry and Exercise Physiology, Heather blends her logistical background with her years with the Fire department and her love for exploration to create amazing adventures. Heathers passion for meaningful travel has led to the creation of Trekking Ambassadors, a charitable initiative that integrates adventure with service. Now, with Bon Voyage Adventures, she has taken this vision even further—offering clients immersive travel experiences while contributing to the well-being of local communities.
For Heather, adventure is not just about exploration but about leaving a positive impact on the world.

Amy rhodes
From a young age Amy Rhodes has been passionate about helping and serving others in various capacities. With a Masters in Psychology/Counseling and a degree in Criminal Justice, Amy retired from a career with the Florida Department of Corrections.
While on active status with the department she worked with violent male offenders in both security and with the mental health side. Amy determined the competencies for specific individuals throughout the court and trail sentencing process.
Amy is very proud of her mentorship with the Gainesville Police Department where she helped develop and run the inner city youth mentorship program. For over a decade of her life she has been a “Big Sister" with the Big Brothers Big Sisters of America program. Amy is passionate about giving back to the world she explores and making connections all around the world.
