Trekking Ambassadors is dedicated to making a difference across the globe. In Tanzania, we’ve partnered with two secondary schools, providing essential resources and support to enhance education and opportunities for students with our solar reading lights. In Nepal, our efforts extended to four clinics, three schools, and a hospital, where we delivered much-needed eyeglasses, educational materials, and healthcare support. In Peru, our contributions included setting up a school with educational materials, ensuring students have the tools they need to succeed. Through these initiatives, we aim to empower communities, foster education, and promote a brighter future for all. Together, we’re transforming lives and building stronger, more resilient communities."
Trekking Ambassadors Tanzania initiative 2026; Starting computer rooms in Tanzania for three secondary schools.
Here’s how it will be implemented:
- Needs Assessment: We understand the specific needs of each school through discussions with teachers, students, and community members.
- Setting Up: Equip the rooms with computers, internet access, and basic software. Ensure the space is safe and conducive to learning.
- Training: Provide training for teachers and students on using the computers effectively, covering basic skills, internet safety, and educational software.
- Community Involvement: We We engage the local community to support and maintain the computer rooms, fostering a sense of ownership and sustainability.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Trekking Ambassadors will regularly assess the impact on students’ learning and make improvements as needed.
This initiative can empower students with valuable skills and open up new possibilities for their future.
Heather Bond, the visionary founder of Trekking Ambassadors, launched her journey in 2020 with a mission to blend adventure with giving back. Driven by a passion for sustainable travel and community support, Heather's first adventure took her to Tanzania in 2022, where she collaborated with local schools to empower students through education and technology. Her journey continued in 2023 in Nepal, where she extended her mission to support local communities and promote cultural exchange. In 2024, Heather brought her spirit of giving to Peru, continuing her mission of community support and cultural exchange. Through Trekking Ambassadors, she worked with the Paru Paru school in the Sacred Valley, providing supplies and engaging students in meaningful activities. By integrating service into adventure, she ensured that every journey left a lasting impact on both travelers and local communities.
